Here we are to enter THE IRANIAN
WOMEN'S REVOLUTIONISTS against
the supreme leader, the arch-reactionary Ayatollah Ali Khamenei,
and his placeman president, Ebrahim Raisi. The message of
the women when he visited a university is plain: <give way or
get lost> in 2023.
IN MEMORY OF ASRA PANAHI (16)- JHINA MAHSA AMINI (22) - NIKA SHAKARAMI (16), SARINA ESMAILZADEH (16) HADIS NAJAFI (20), AND MORE WOMEN WHO WERE ASSASINATED SO
FAR BY THE IRANIAN AXIS OF EVIL.

Dear reader, from here on the 'Woman,
Life, Freedom' pages menu will look a bit different and this
to avoid too many pop-ups ,meaning the underlined period
in yellow tells you in what period you are and click on another
underlinded period to go there. However, when needed a certain
topic will be in yellow meaning it's a link to go that topic and
will open in a new window. If you dissagree about any change feel more than free to let me know what you
think at
info@cryfreedom.net
This does not count for the above topics which, when
clicked on, will still appear in a pop-up window and for now the
'old' lay-out 'till I worked that all out. Thank you. Gino

<<Sporadic Violence Breaks Out During Iran’s Polling Day
Iran's elections were marred by sporadic violence and reports of
pressure or voter intimidation against individuals boycotting the polls.
News agencies reported a <failed assassination attempt> on a
high-ranking cleric, Alireza Hasani, the Friday prayer Leader of central
Meybod city, by an individual with unknown motives. The attacker,
wielding a <sharp object,> was apprehended by worshippers. Separately,
three members of the Basij paramilitary force were attacked with <bladed
weapons> while en route to a polling station in northern Tehran. One
individual sustained serious injuries, another required surgery, and the
third risked losing vision in one eye. Authorities are seeking
information about the attackers, who fled the scene. Reports also
emerged of arrests and confrontations targeting individuals boycotting
the elections. The Khorasan Razavi Police Command's Cyber Center
reported identifying and blocking 11 Instagram pages accused of
disrupting public order, promoting anti-government propaganda, and
advocating for election boycotts. Legal action was taken against the
administrators. Throughout the past few days, numerous reports emerged
of citizens being apprehended for election boycotts. On February 28, the
police commander of West Azerbaijan province announced the arrest of 50
<social media page operators> accused of <disrupting public order and
inciting non-participation in the elections.> The police official warned
that publishing <content that creates [social] tensions> online would be
considered a crime. Despite the emphasis on voter turnout by the Islamic
Republic's leader, reports and social media posts indicated a low
turnout for the elections.>>

<<Iranian Conscript Takes His Own Life as Military Suicides Rise
An Iranian military conscript took his own life by gunshot on February
29 amid a surge in suicides among Iranian military personnel. Behnam
Jafarizadeh, the revolutionary prosecutor of Bam city in the
southeastern city of Kerman province, reported that the conscript was
serving in the city's judiciary office. <After being granted a few hours
of leave, the soldier returned to his service unit and took his own life
while alone,> Jafarizadeh told the semi-official Mehr news agency. He
was on guard duty and shot himself with a Kalashnikov rifle. The
identity of the conscript was not disclosed.
Jafarizadeh added that examination of the conscripts' final
communications <suggests personal issues may have played a role.>
Military service is mandatory for all Iranian male citizens above 18,
with some exceptions, according to the Iranian constitution. The
24-month service duration, coupled with potential physical and
psychological pressures, has drawn criticism. Some cases lead to
self-harm or violence. In January a conscript opened fire on fellow
soldiers in the same province and killed five of them. The incident
occurred on January 21 when the soldier arrived at a barracks dormitory
and opened fire on the resting soldiers.>>

<<Jailed Iranian Singer’s Phone Access Cut for Urging Election Boycott
Islamic Republic officials have cut the telephone access of incarcerated
singer Toomaj Salehi after he called for an elections boycott. <After
Toomaj Salehi's message regarding the election boycott and ongoing
harassment, and in continued violation of his rights, his phone calls
were abruptly terminated under orders from the Ministry of
Intelligence,> Salehi's social media accounts, managed by his relatives
overseas, posted on March 1.
<At present, we have no information about his current condition,> they
added. Salehi, 33, was initially arrested in October 2022 after making
public statements in support of nationwide protests that had erupted the
previous month. He had released songs that criticized the government and
supported the protests demanding more freedoms and women's rights, and
posted pictures and videos of himself during the demonstrations.
In July 2023, a court sentenced the artist to six years and three months
in prison for <corruption on earth.> He was released on bail on November
18, 2023, after the Supreme Court, responding to an appeal, found <flaws
in the original sentence.> It sent the case back to a lower court for a
reexamination and possible retrial. Salehi was returned to jail less
than two weeks later to face new charges after publicly talking about
his alleged torture in prison in a video.>>

<<Grammy-winning Iranian Protest Singer Sentenced to Jail
Iranian authorities have sentenced singer Shervin Hajipour, a vocal
supporter of the Woman, Life, Freedom movement, to three years and eight
months in prison. He is charged with <propaganda activities against the
Islamic Republic> and <inciting people to riot.> Hajipour announced the
verdict in an Instagram post on March 1, also revealing a two-year ban
on leaving the country. Hajipour's troubles stem from the release of the
popular protest song <Braye>, or <For,> which became an anthem for the
protest movement following the death in custody of Mahsa Amini in
September 2022. The song, garnering millions of views within days,
resonated with lyrics drawn from ordinary Iranians' social media posts
and its critique of the Islamic Republic, and went on to win the <Song
for Social Change> award at the 65th Grammy Awards. Hajipour's
sentencing has raised concerns over the harshness of the punishment as
he has no prior criminal record. His song seems to be the only basis for
the charges and sentencing. The news comes amid the ongoing imprisonment
of other singers associated with the protests, including Toomaj Salehi,
Mehdi Yaraahi, and Saman Yasin.>>

<<Iranian Government Sends Ballot Boxes to Flooded Province—Instead of
Aid
Ballot boxes have been delivered to impoverished areas grappling with
floods in Sistan and Baluchistan province even though Islamic Republic
government agencies have yet to provide any aid or relief after five
days of flooding. After heavy rain and flooding in the restive province,
387 villages are still flooded, with more than 110,000 people displaced
or in other dire circumstances. The flooding has badly affected farms,
mud houses, rural roads, and local infrastructure, leading to road
closures and isolating villages from nearby cities and each other. Due
to the flooded roads, broken bridges, and washed-out pathways, only air
assistance is feasible. Ahmadreza Hashemzehi, the governor of Qasr-e
Qand district, said two major dams had overflowed due to the recent
rains and floods. Baluch activists have criticized the Islamic Republic
for ignoring flood victims and accused it of sending ballot boxes to
flooded areas to advance its political agenda.>>

Opinion by G. d'A.: the solution is simple: don't vote for this corrupt
murderous regime. Instead prepare to walk together the 'Long live a Free
Iran' to the Azadi tower and plant the flag of Victory. I'll keep you
posted about how corrupt and evil the mullahs' regime is!

In recent days, two 17-year-old Kurdish individuals, Metin Razian from
Saqqez, Sanandaj province, and Navid Mustafazadeh from Bukan, Urmia
province, were apprehended by the security forces of the Islamic
Republic of Iran and transported to undisclosed locations. According to
